Wood Flooring Guarantee
1. Warranty Coverage:
a. Engineered Wood Flooring:
The manufacturer warrants that the engineered wood flooring is free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase.
b. Solid Wood Flooring:
The manufacturer warrants that the solid wood flooring is free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 15 years from the date of purchase.
2. Scope of Warranty:
a. The warranty covers defects such as warping, delamination, and cracking under normal use and conditions.
b. Damage caused by improper installation, neglect, misuse, accidents, or acts of nature is not covered under this warranty.
3. Claim Procedure:
a. To initiate a warranty claim, the original purchaser must provide proof of purchase and notify the manufacturer or authorized dealer within the warranty period.
b. The manufacturer reserves the right to inspect the flooring and may require samples for analysis to determine the validity of the claim.
4. Remedies:
a. In the event of a valid warranty claim, the manufacturer will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective flooring or provide a refund equivalent to the purchase price of the defective flooring.
b. The warranty does not cover any labour costs associated with removal, installation, or refinishing of the flooring.
5. Limitations:
a. This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the flooring.
b. The warranty is void if the flooring is installed in commercial settings or areas with excessive moisture, such as bathrooms.
6. Exclusions:
a. Natural variations in wood colour, grain, and texture are not considered defects and are not covered under this warranty.
b. Damage caused by improper maintenance or use of inappropriate cleaning agents is not covered.
c. Any discrepancies in flooring dimensions caused by improper storage (e.g., variable temperature, excessive humidity, inadequate insulation) are not covered.
7. Disclaimer of Liability:
a. Except as expressly stated in this warranty, the manufacturer disclaims all other warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Governing Law:
a. This warranty is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the product was purchased.
9. Additional Rights:
a. This warranty gives the original purchaser specific legal rights, and the purchaser may also have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
